CARP, ON: Diefenbunker, Canada’s Cold War Museum is proud to announce “Lessons from the Cold War: A Youth Writing Contest,” a competition open to students from the National Capital Region.

 

A prize of $1000 will be awarded to the essay or creative writing piece that best illustrates how the Cold War has affected contemporary national or global politics and/or society.

 

The contest is open to students in grade 11, 12, Sec V or Cegep I. The submission deadline is April 1 and the prize will be awarded by a panel of celebrity judges on May 18 ( International Museum day).

This contest is part of the Diefenbunker’s 10th anniversary celebrations in 2008.
