Built to protect the government from nuclear attack, this once-secret underground bunker is now a museum and National Historic Site of Canada.
In addition to preserving and promoting Canada's Cold War history, we offer a variety of visitor programs, events and services. Discover the bunker's secrets and relive the experience of the Cold War.
Please note: The Bank of Canada Vault is having new lighting installed and will be closed until May 20th (at the latest).

Come celebrate Mother's Day at the Diefenbunker. Learn about the role of women in the Diefenbunker with our Women's History tour, and listen to accounts of women who were posted at CFS Carp. There will be Mother's Day crafts for the family! Cost: As a special thank you to moms, we will be offering half off of their admission to the museum.
